San Diego Border Roleplay Smuggling Docks

The August 15, 2026 Boat Smuggling drop added coastal docks near the civilian spawn. This is where you pick boat missions — not a one-weekend prop. Coast Guard stages here too.

Where the Docks Sit

Community testing places the docks close to spawn so you are not driving half the map for a water job. Follow coastal roads from the civilian garage; look for piers, boat spawners, and a smuggler NPC with mission prompts.

Landmarks shift when biweekly patches add props. If you cannot find the NPC, check our Boat Smuggling guide and Key Locations after the latest Saturday–Monday window.

What Happens at the NPC

Accept a mission, take the assigned boat, and run the border on water. Delivery completes at the black market landing — the same economy neighborhood as the land goods loop, not a separate universe.

Crossing applies a one-star wanted level. That is the cue for Coast Guard boats to leave the dock and chase. Camping the NPC as enforcement is poor roleplay; hold the crossing line instead.

Nearby POIs

Bikes still help you scout the coast. The land tunnel, Autoshop roof, and Laundromat remain inland. El Capo Mansion is a separate gamepass spawn with its own laundering floor — see the El Capo page. Banks sit in the city with the new C4 exits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a gamepass to use the docks?
Boat missions are a civilian loop. El Capo Mansion is the gamepass property — docks themselves are for missions.
Can Coast Guard spawn at the docks?
Yes. Enforcement boat spawners sit on the water side of the same coastal cluster.
Is the dock still there after August 17?
Yes. The event card ended; the docks stayed in the live map as of August 20, 2026.
