San Diego Border Roleplay Boats
The August 15, 2026 patch put boats on the live roster. Coast Guard gets three named hulls. Civilians get mission boats from the dock NPC. Water handling is part of the intended loop — not a weekend-only toy.
Coast Guard Hulls
Police Patrol Boat covers everyday intercepts while you learn throttle and turning. Response Boat exists to close a gap when a smuggler already crossed with a one-star wanted flag. Weaponized Boat is the combat hull for armed water fights.
Spawn them from Coast Guard coastal garages after you switch teams. Rank unlocks extra options the same way land teams unlock extra cars. Full team notes sit on the Coast Guard page.
| Boat | Team | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Police Patrol Boat | Coast Guard | General patrol and intercepts |
| Response Boat | Coast Guard | Fast reaction to dock runners |
| Weaponized Boat | Coast Guard | Combat on the water |
| Mission boat | Civilian (NPC job) | Assigned when you accept a dock mission |
Civilian Mission Boats
You do not pick a Coast Guard interceptor as a civilian. You accept a dock job and take the boat the NPC assigns. Cross the border, survive the chase, and deliver to the black market. Turning is good enough to break a straight-line intercept — use it.
Controls and Etiquette
Use the same interact key you use for cars (E on PC). Practice in open water before the first wanted chase. Do not beach-ram spawn or block the NPC. Exploits and auto-pilot scripts are still ban-on-sight.
